USC is OVER RATED!!! USC (University of Southern California) is known for their athletic achievements. They have had one of the best football programs in the nation for the past several years. They have dominated college football, and are always the number 1 team in the Pac-10 (10 teams from the Pacific United States) conference. They were beaten by the Stanford Cardinals on Saturday night in one of the biggest upsets in college football history. A New York Times article analyzes the loss and puts shame to USC’s name. The unranked Cardinals came into USC’s home stadium and beat them 24-23 with a last minute touchdown. A feat that had not been accomplished by any other team in the country since 2001. USC has moved back to #10 overall, and the true powerhouse of college football, California, has moved up to #2 in the nation and #1 in the Pac-10. Which puts them in prime position to take on LSU (Louisiana State University) in the BCS championship game, where they will be able to prove they are the best.
